The Quiet Game

The only things standing between us and them is the metal walls with windows covered in duck tape. We can hear them scratching around the wheels and snarling at each other. The small child next to me curls into my side and Robbie puts his arm around me and leans his head back. "Are we playing the quiet game now?" The little boy whispers. I nod and hold him tighter praying that they wouldn't become smart enough to get into the truck bed. They would kill us.
