"Hidden Power? Is it a myth, or is it real?! I must know!" A terrible storm begins to brew over Unova when the mysterious N suddenly appears at the doorstep of Nathan's apartment in Olivine City. He talks to Nathan of an abominable plot, set into motion by his father, Ghetsis, claiming that Nathan's precious partner, Voltflare, is the main target of the endeavor. The Heroes of Truth and Ideals have left the Unova region, leaving behind chaos that eventually settled. Nathan Acress, a new Trainer hoping to make it to the top and become Unova's Champion. And Hugh Vallance, a mutual friend who refuses the help of others and is haunted by the memory of a white-haired stranger who ruined his and his little sister's lives.
