I honestly don't know my last name, but oh well. Anyways, I'm an orphan. So yes, I'm up for adoption. I'm 10,and I get bullied by the other kids, and at school. I'm also abused by the lady in charge of the orphanage. I don't know who my parents are.I really don't even know why I'm so unwanted. Everyone who's come to adopt has passed me up, and it hurts. I'm pretty good at hiding my feelings.All it does is give the other kids something to talk about when I don't. Whatever, I don't care anymore.
I barely feel pain on a good day. I'm so depressed that it's not even funny. No one even notices. I barely eat, and I have these little lines to remind me of how I feel everyday. I really hope something changes before it's too late...

Although Sophia is shy, sometimes scared of the opposite gender, and has a fear of boxes, this couple is determined to show Sophia that the world has a bright and happy side. It's gonna be hard though. Will they be able to show Sophia what happiness really is? Will she find out who her real parents were? Will she have a happily ever after? Astren City, and all surrounding area, have the highest crime rate in the northern part of the country. Dozens of crime families constantly trying to take the throne, as well as corruption lurking around every corner, do not aid in that fact at all. Salem Heart's father, Jack Heart, happens to be the Astren City Chief of Police, a title which holds a lot of weight and a rank that claims even more power. He's well respected, and amazing at his job. That said, greatness is expected of Salem as well. Of course that isn't a problem, Salem will always be loyal to the law.
