The last thing Charlotte Blackstone ever expected to happen in her first class of her sophomore year of college was to get paired with the college's star pitcher Ryan Sanders, but that's what you get when you show up late for the first time in your life.

Charlotte Blackstone is a straight A, always on time, very reliable student. She prides herself on being the picture perfect student because learning is like a drug to her. While some people love to party and others get obsessed with TV series, Charlotte is obsessed with studying. That's why she wants to be a college professor, because what's even better than learning is teaching others. Speaking of teaching, the reason why she's late for her first class is because she was tutoring a rather tough student. She finds it's just her luck that the first day she's ever been late is the day you have to pick a partner. Oh and to add on to that luck, guess who else is late? Ryan Sanders, otherwise known as the bad boy, baseball badass on campus.

Why, oh why didn't she just leave on time?

Fate has a funny way of pushing people together, doesn't it?
