As an avid hiker and 4th-grade teacher, I decided to write a book about my section hikes of the Appalachian Trail (AT).
Working at a year-round school, I get the benefit of longer breaks. I.E. 2-week spring break and 2-week fall break with 6 weeks for summer. Perfect for completing sections of the AT.

Road Trip With the Enemy
Being around your enemy is one thing, but going on a road trip with them alone is another. Olivia and Ashtrid are enemies, and they have been since they can remember. When high school hits, they rarely saw each other, and it was good for them. Then, college rolls around, and the two just plan to get ready for it this summer. Unfortunately, their parents have different plans. A road trip to California. Olivia and Ashtrid in a car alone for two weeks. Seem like a bad idea? In the Summer
"Alright boys. Spring break has three rules and three rules only. Rule number one: drink as much as you can as fast as you can. No one likes the sober guy. If you're not drunk by noon, you're doing something wrong. Rule number two: alway share your weed. I'm not saying to share it with everyone. Just the people in our group. Don't bogart any joints. Dont hog the bowl. Share. Simple as that. And the most important rule is rule number three. No matter what happens, or who you meet, DO NOT fall in love. Got it?"Complete

Life is a highway - in more ways than one! Meg, Allie, Danny, and Zach may not be having a luxury senior trip, but it`s a fun one. Road trip across the USA to see their favorite band in concert? Yeah, way better than Amsterdam, Cancun, and Canada combined. There`s one problem: four people who are varying degrees of argumentative are all stuck in a car together for a week. So, yes, it`s going to be fun a lot of the time. But it`s also going to be filled with tension, fighting, and broken breaking points. Life is a highway, and while it`s mostly smooth sailing, every highway has it`s share of accidents. So sail on down this highway with Meg, Allie, Danny, and Zach, and take lots of pictures - this is a trip you don`t want to forget. (I`m considering this completed because I`ve had writer`s block on this project for almost a year now and I really feel like I need to move on, but I`ve edited it to have a somewhat conclusive, and hopefully temporary, ending.)Complete

Into the Mountains: A Branching Path Story
Your life has reached a point of daily monotony that is crushing your spirit slowly. Every morning, it's the same thing: wake up, brush teeth, shower, dress, eat toast, go to work, come home, eat dinner, go to sleep. Repeat. Then one morning you get a pamphlet in the mail: an advertisement for a hiking trail in the mountains of Tennessee. Your spirit jumps at a chance to do something different and maybe to discover something important about yourself. Will your decisions lead to a victorious conquest of the mountains? Or will they make you another cautionary tale whispered to naughty children by their parents? [A branching path story is written in second person, so you will read and take action as the main character in this story. Your story will branch off into different plots based on your responses.
