"𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯."
Stevie Sinclair's life is achingly plain. She's lived in the same town her whole life, she's never been out partying, she's never had a boyfriend, and the only vacations she's ever been on were camping trips with her mom in the state park near their home. So when Stevie receives her invitation for a two-week cruise that she signed up for jokingly, she jumps at the chance.
"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵?! 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦'𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴!"
Something went wrong though. Twenty-four hours after Stevie boards the boat that's supposed to add some excitement to her life, she finds herself washed up to shore with the other passengers. The boat is destroyed, their supplies lost at sea, or damaged beyond repair, and they're stranded somewhere that looks as though it's never experienced a human presence.
"𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘬."
Hours turn into days, and help still doesn't come. Hungry, increasingly desperate, and frustrated, the clock is ticking for each of them. They can't stay on shore forever. However, the land past the shore may be more unforgiving than Stevie could have imagined. If the weather or animals don't kill then, then the rugged terrain just might.
"𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦."
As each of the survivors are pushed to their limits, Stevie quickly realizes that nature is not the only dangerous thing around her. The lengths people go to ensure their own survival are limitless, and soon Stevie will have to decide just how far she's willing to go if she wants to make it home. As chaos rains around her, Stevie finds herself pulled further away from her humanity than ever before.
