years pass. jisung becomes a wandering spirit in seoul, caught in a strange in-between, weightless and invisible-until a cry echoes from a dark alley, and he finds him. a baby boy with wide eyes and no one else.

minho.

from that moment on, jisung watches over him-silently, faithfully, obsessively. he cooks meals no one sees him make. he cleans up messes no one remembers creating. he becomes the presence in minho's life that no one believes in.

but the boy grows. and so do the feelings jisung isn't supposed to have. because protecting someone is one thing. loving them? wanting them to love you back? that was never part of the plan.

and the universe never said how long jisung was allowed to stay.
