The war on mages started March 21st, 2999. The murder of the sixth king sparked a gruesome slaughter against the mage populous.
Thousands of mages we're murdered and captured. 
But, technology thrived, agriculture prospered, wars won and allies in high countries and places established. All thanks to the seventh King, De'angelo Caprino.
A beloved king, a respected war veteran, and a dedicated father.
The kingdom of Lyra prospered happily, that is, until the king was assassinated. And the kingdom repeated the past.

His eldest child, Leviro Caprino, a 16 year old valedictorian, tactician who aimed to succeed him. His intentions, just, and loyalty to his homeland go farther than most soldiers. He intends to bring justice in the land of the unjustice, but to do so he must fight fire with fire. He joins an infamous terrorist group, travels the underground black market and even fights in the underground brawl circuit. All he wants is to avenge his father.

In the catacombs of the mage world, six of the strongest main magic families stand in union for the inauguration of a new head of household. The newest being Alexandra Shaddex, the 17 year old heir to the family of energy. A family unmatched in terms of power, speed and precision. She upholds the household with her unique abilities and skill with the family fighting arts. All she wants is to save her people.

These two collide to save the land of Lyra.

Claire is a mage with exceptional magical talent if not too exceptional for the higher ups within the Guild that monitors all mages of the world. She is an orphan and grew up in a Home for Magical Children on Mage Island, floating in the middle of the Pacific. Under constant watch and scrutiny from the Guild, Claire now finds herself working side by side with a Black, the very family that was breed to become mage assassins, killing thousands of her people. The fact that the Black is also a handsome man does not help Claire's case at all. Raven has nothing to do with his family and yet is hostile to Claire upon finding out she's a mage. He worked as a detective to make sure everyone had equal justice but when he got his new partner Claire his world is thrown upside down. Not only is she a mage whom he silently despises but she's also the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. As they work together and find a rocky truce between themselves they travel the city solving crimes with a magical association. Raven accepts Claire without cause while Claire lays her life down for the man who stole her heart. As they fall for one another a dark figure lerks in the shadows, plotting something sinister for our mage Claire. Could this dark figure perhaps have something to do with Claire's unclear past? Can Raven, a Black, somehow save this woman before she's taken from him forever?

Even in a world of perfect beings such as elves, lies can be spun as precisely as an arrow can pierce a target, and evil can sneak up on you when you least expect it. Mia is used to reading about this kind of stuff, not living it. Safe to say she finds herself in one hell of an adventure. - - TW: if you need a tw for fighting, violence, weapons, blood, death, etc. I would read with caution (I don't get into any gory details, but there are scenes w/ this) I will put tw's for the more violent scenes.
