Perverse Discovery
This is a series of short stories inspired by a friend. After buying a new house his mom found a letter (random scribbling?) left behind in a back closet. The scrap of folded paper had warnings about demons that lived in the walls and forced him to sell his house. Needless to say it was an unsettling discovery. Pair that with my own personal experience of buying a house sight unseen and moving (literally) halfway across the country in the middle of a pandemic I had enough material to put together a short collection of stories. Each story opens with an item discovered in a house followed by either the origin of the item or the discovery of the item. All focus around the experience of someone moving. I write these for fun (there are more coming, just editing at the moment) and my own entertainment during the time of social distancing. I hope you find something relatable or at the very least gets you thinking. Enjoy! PS - Although I would not consider this overly graphic there are some more mature scenes and use of adult language.

And I cannot say in words how much my life has been demolished by them. Say, stranger, are you going to read her letters? are you curious about what and who it was that tore apart my life, haunted my soul, devoured my peace? Then again, I do not matter. {COMPLETE} Sarah was invisible in her foster home. No one payed attention to her. No one talked to her. No one cared what she did. One day she went for a walk in the woods and gets attacked by a man in a blue mask. She fights him off and managed to get away, but stumbles and blacks out. She wakes up at the hospital with no memory of who brought her there. When she was on her way home from school one day she gets in a fight with some boys and they carry her off into the woods and try to rape her. The guy with the blue mask showes up and kills the boys, then he goes to kill Sara but stopps. Why?
