I really recommend sticking it out till chapter 6 which is when (in my opinion) it gets really good. This book is 200% my love child so please be kind to it.
Disclaimer, this is a romance story but contains several elements that are more thriller of horror. Occasionally graphic with mentions of child abuse, fear, torture, sexual harassment, sort of incest (the whole sacred 28 thing) and gory scenes.
