April, 1941.

Laura's parents could've been killed by the bombs that have destroyed the only home she has ever known, or the disease that has swept not only London, but the whole world. Instead, her Father took his eyes off the road from one moment.

Now, she finds herself at St. Mary's Orphanage, hours away from London. Death follows her like a dark cloud, and no amount of prayer can free her if the guilt she feels over the accident. She's left all on her own to navigate her grief, her faith, and her blossoming relationship with a boy named Jack.

With the change in season comes a chance for a new start.
