Katherine was a 17 year old teenage girl. To others, she seemed normal enough. But inside she was truly suffering. Her father was abusive and involved with drugs, he spent all of the family's money on the stuff. Her mother was beautiful and kind but she was always working hard to try and earn enough money for them to even survive, sadly she later died from stress and abuse. Katherine loved her and now she was all alone. Katherine hated being home, but it wasn't much better at school. Kids there would bully her for being poor and having a drug addict father. She absolutely hated her life. Tess, Katherine's best and only friend is a Christian and one day invites Kat to come to church with her. Katherine is reluctant at first but finally, after some begging from Tess agrees to join her.  Over time Katherine will realize that God has her in his hands and everything will be okay.
