I started writing this back when I was 12 years old. I wasn't a Christian then, and the story was heavily influenced by books like Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and the Dragonlance series, specifically those authored by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman. Other major influences were anime shown on Toonami, Dragon Ball Z probably being chief among those. When I became a Christian, everything changed, and the story gained a whole new level of depth. It has morphed considerably over the years, but I think it's in its final form now.
