Sometimes I can almost see the sun, almost touch it.
It creates a spark of hope within me that there could possibly be a chance I could escape.
Then I remember that no matter how much hope burns inside of me, it will be of no use as long as I remain chained back.
Because really, we're all in a room.
Alone and stealing hopeful glances at the sun, wondering if we'll ever escape.
We think that with enough hope, we can do anything.
Maybe we can, but then again, some chains were never meant to be broken.
And the longer we remain confined, the more we fear freedom.
