Alex Sanders was my best friend. We did every single thing together. We went to beaches, gyms, school, everything. We talked about stuff and watched our fav Tom And Jerry movie, and pretended to be pirates on his sofa. We played Wii Sports, Golf, and we would slide down his dark sofas recline. We were unbreakable. Literally. We would do the most silliest things. I would force him to play dolls with me for 30 minutes, then we would play soccer. Sleepovers happened twice a month. But the worst thing happened. Alex moved to California in grade 5.And I never saw him again.
At first we would email, text, everything. But sooner my grades and his got higher, so we didn't have much time to text or FaceTime. And as I matured, I created more friends too. But Alex is my best friend, like my brother, and he has a soft spot in my heart. "Yes, " i softly replied, looking at my nails.

I feel like I hit a bit of a brick wall. I love this story, it was the first time I started writing for me and not for school. I was getting some major writer's block when it came to this story which felt weird because the creative juices had been flowing up to this point. I love this story and the characters and I finally realised that any writing I tried to force out would be really bad quality and that it could ruin the story. I do realise that this is very frustrating; I would be annoyed if someone did it to me. But I really think that in this case, less is more. I may come back to this story one day, but I make no promises. I feel like my time with Liam and Saskia has come to an end. They can enjoy their summer in peace! Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents.
