Taylor gasped for air hoping the smoke would clear away and leave her alive, that never happened. Taylor Jenkins died of inhaling too much smoke. Some say it was an accident that a fire was started right outside the science room where Taylor had been studying and finishing some work before she would go home and babysit her younger brother, Lucas. Finn Glasgow was the first to see the school being engulfed by smoke seeing as he lived next to the school.

It couldn't have been a coincidence that Taylor happened to be the only one in that building when it was being engulfed. Taylor wasn't somebody people really hated; most people hadn't talked to her or even noticed her. She was a girl that was sort of in the shadows. The only thing that was really found that could have been evidence was a lighter which they used the science room so, it could have just been there before-hand.

No one really noticed noticed she was gone, just the empty seat at the back of the classrooms remained.
