"What happened to your boyfriend?" Julien asks with a sigh, throwing whats left of the empty liquor bottles from the night prior into a black garbage bag. 

"I stopped thinking about him when I sleep." She confessed. The secret practically running out of her mouth.

It all came tumbling back one night. One stupid night at the house party of an old mutual friend from highschool. The feeling when they saw each other. They both felt it. Whatever it was. What they've done in highschool was a mistake to Madeline, but that didn't matter. Madeline still wanted to go back. She wanted the girl she was scared to be seen with a decade ago. She wanted that cute punk she admired from her bedroom window. She wanted the one person who deserved the title to her love. She wanted Julien again.

Guilt hit her stomach as the boy she was leading on for all this time came into view. The boy she'd replace for that punk in a heartbeat. Her boyfriend. She drank a lot that night in hopes of trying desperately to forget the last 10 years. Forget the worst years. That's how she got here. Feeling bad for the party wreckage. Wanting to clean it up for a friend. Or wanting to clean up to be close to Julien.
