The Park

Sam is a 22 year old disheartened writer with ADHD and RSD that no one will take a chance on.

On the day he gave up his fight to keep trying, he receives a text from his future self telling him to go into the one place that terrifies him the most; Wisteria Park. What happens in the heart of the park will change his life forever.

--2023 entry for The Writer's College short story contest, "Words have consequences." The phrase could be interpreted any way, but had to be included somewhere in the story.
