The Serpentine Isles is a happy place, ruled by a gracious queen and her 4 duchesses. It's so wonderful there that nothing bad should ever happen. Right? Well, there is this tiny problem called Camelonia. This kingdom is lorded over by a vicious king and his 4 cruel dukes. This king will stop at nothing to take over the Serpentine Isles and the magic it provided it's protector's with. What will happen when the duchesses have to combat the evil forces of Camelonia?

Duchess June is perfectly happy to stay in the castle fulfilling her duties as the Grand General. Torturing prisoners, making sure the guards stay in line, sentencing criminals and so forth. She's perfectly content to practice her ninjato and tessen in her spare time. Her routine is the same every day, it hasn't changed in 5 years. So, what happens when Duchess June's world is turned on it's head and she's forced to go on a voyage to establish trade routes with other countries. Then, she's kidnapped by Camelonia! This adventure will have everything from torture to romance to betrayal. Even the death of a friend.

There will be gore and blood so just be warned. You aren't obligated to read this book, so feel free to go and read anything else. I haven't marked it as mature, because it's not too gruesome. But, just be warned if your squeamish. Maybe don't read.
