She starts out as a scared and vulnerable girl giving in to submission of her camp's horrible leader Vic. However in a turn of events she is separated from her prison and taken in by an unknown camp by the 2nd in command himself; Jameson Cox. Can Jameson teach Emmalyn how to live in her new world without fear or is fear inevitable in the wasteland they once called home. Finally, can Emmalyn face her biggest fear; love.

You already know the genre, but you've never seen a zombie epic like this before. Eight high-school graduates wake up in the aftermath of a bus crash, only to progressively discover that the world around them has changed. Can they adapt quickly enough to survive? Will things ever be the same as they used to be? Is there any safe haven left, or are they on their own to fend off the undead? As Lee and the other James Monroe Technical High School graduates embark on a journey towards safety, they are quickly surrounded by death and despair. Read the first 11 issues that start these teenagers, and other survivors, on a sprawling tale of trials and tests of physical, mental, and emotional strength. Society is gone. This is what comes Afterward.
