To be part of the Emperor's Coven, you must be a proper witch. You must be able to use magic well; you must hold the isles to the standard that the Emperor does, and you must bring wild witches over to the blessed coven system. Something that is not good for the Emperor's Coven is a human. A human cannot use magic; they can only trick. A human cannot hold the Emperor's standards, for they do not know his standards. A human may refuse to bring a wild witch in. A human should not be in the Emperor's Coven. And yet, with enough lies, tricks, and bad luck, here we are.
