You know, I'd sound crazy if I told you what it was really like in a tornado. For starters, it definitely windy that's for sure. My whole life has been circling around what happened that night, 20 years ago. Then again, going to college for 6 years of nothing but science and math was a downfall- worth it though.
Now for a bit of details:
This is a modern au, Leon Kennedy x original character story. I watched the 1996 film, Twister the other day, my favorite movie. So I decided to write something to ease my obsessions. This books is set in the year 2005, I know crazy right?

lily had known on that god foresaken day that the tornado was no joke. she knew that if something were to go wrong, it would happen to her of all people so it was no suprise that what they thought would be the coolest experience of their lives would soon turn into the worst. after all the lost lives of not only her friends, but of the close towns to the tragedy, she left oklahoma with a heavy heart and no hopes of returning. she moved to l.a. and pursued a career in singing, completely throwing her dreams of getting to the top of the publishing industry into the trash. that was what she wanted when she had so much love and support. when she had a tight knit group of friends but with only two of them left, she couldn't bear to have any reminder of her old life. she even almost cut off her brother, javier, completely. he was a harsh reminder of everything she had lost and it broke her heart to not be with him together in a town they both had loved. but her love had soon diminished the second her best friends died. she's now just a shell of who she used to be, but she was happy in her own fucked up way. so what happens when she feels the pull of oklahoma beckoning her home? her brother needs her and she could never deny him. if you had told her she'd succeed in stopping a tornado from killing anyone else she loved she would have said "screw you" and walked away in a cloud of self fury. if you had also told her she'd fall in love with a cowboy she would've wanted every detail you could give her.Complete

"You didn't" She knows. She takes on my pain without my permission, needlessly curing me of whatever negative emotion bothers me time and time again, not caring at all what it does to her. "I know." I don't have to explain it, she's thinking the exact same thing as me, she knows how I feel, how sick it makes me to let her in my head. "From now on." It's a quiet promise, I can't keep it from her now, so the best I can do is return her comfort when she needs it, help her forget everything, for a little while. "From now on."
