Cassandra Cain was born to be a weapon, not a person. After becoming Batgirl she gets put in a position where she is able to help another boy who, while not in the same position, is in a similar enough one that she becomes attached to him. 

As always I'm bad at writing descriptions but I promise I'm 100x better at writing chapters. There aren't many Cassandra books on this app so if you're interested you may as well check this out.

While she was out of the spotlight for a long time, Barbara is back and ready to be Batgirl now more so than ever. With the boys of the Justice League out, Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, is prepared to go into battle and serve justice. Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Many people were turned into these metahumans, me being one of them. Likely one of the only changed nine year olds at the time. My parents were both scientists for Star Labs, being two of the many others that died in the blast. Needing to get away, I decided to move to Gotham. A good city to hide in. Maybe it wasn't the best city to move to, but, in the end, I'm glad I did. In the crazy town, I was adopted by the two craziest people there. The Deranged Duo, Harley Quinn and Joker. "Rescued by villains, who knew?" I say. "Villains rescue fellow villains," Joker says. "Sounds funny coming from you," I scoff. "Aww, is that the way you should treat your saviors?" Joker teases. "I could've taken them," I scoff. "Why did you save me?" "We watched you take out the last group of thugs," Harley says. This is the story of Cassandra and Alara Wilson. Their mother died when they were 10 and they live with their dad in the Diamond District. Their dad works as a bartender at Fish Mooney's. Cassandra worked hard at school and graduated a year early with her best friend Ally Wilkins at the age of 17 whereas Alara worked in the falcone crime business with Cassandra's boyfriend Tyler and his best friend Connor . On one alara had been attacked, sexually assaulted and left for dead. When Victor Zsasz found her she was brought to the hospital and advised that she would not live long and to keep her alive Cassandra and her father took her to Hugo strange who turned her into a Tribrid. One year after graduation Cassandra and Ally work at the GCPD while Alara terrorizes the streets and things get complicated when Cassandra and Alara witness the Wayne's murder. I do not own Gotham just my own story line and characters.
