This Pursuer is one of the last and most powerful. Driving the undeads to extinction.
At the end, he got Lord vesseled/violently erased from existance for denying his fate.

He regained his humanity when his purpose was fulfilled.
Leading to regaining his will to live.
That clashed with his fading state and now he's here.
