Nine-year-old Trey's lonely, sad life as a fatherless misfit is changed forever when the new preacher's kid, the indomitable Charley, arrives.  Everyone around Charley sees him as tragically handicapped. Not so Charley himself, who lives life to the full and pulls everyone around him along, starting with Trey.  Watch them grow through challenges into young manhood and beyond.

This is a revised and somewhat condensed version of this story. It started out life as a short story but its characters just took hold of me until it grew into what you have at hand. The characters and settings are an amalgam of a lifetime of experience, sometimes intense, of all sorts of people and places. In themselves, however, they are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, places or events, other than what is clearly public knowledge, is coincidental.

She needed to travel alone to her mom auntie's home, without any sort of companion. She didn't dare accept anyone who offered to help her because mom had said she should trust just her auntie and anyone else. She didn't know if bad men would try to snatch her again and her only desire was to find a safe place she could live her pacific life, the way she did when her mom was alive.

Aoife is the blind boy. Has been all his life. One day he ends up running into a stranger. This stranger changes Aoife's life in more ways than one. Follow Aoife through his journey of love and heartbreak and find out why his story will leave you in tears. Disclaimer: this is a fantasy story so there are things that are made up in this world (mainly because I didn't want to use something that I didn't know about.) There's also a LOT of plot holes (sorry). I'm working on a revision of this so if you point out any you find it'd be a great help. Constructive criticism is always welcome. I really hope you enjoy the story with all of the mistakes that are in there :) Set up: if you're confused, it's most likely because of the setup. Most chapters are time skips. If the new chapter continues the events of the previous chapter, then it's not a time skip. (Time skips can range anywhere from a few days to weeks to months)
