Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Iolite Necklace

Nova the riolu and their friend Ryla the tinkatuff meet a charcadet named Elinia who keeps talking about his human, who "keeps wearing all these super cool necklaces! His favorite necklace is one that has a gemstone called an iolite!" Elinia also keeps going on about how he's going to evolve with a set of armor that's the same color as an iolite. When Nova and Ryla meet Elinia's human, they find out his name is Talin and that he is the adopted "son" of a very strong pokemon, though he does think that "You mons are gonna get us killed one of these- slow down!" Nova's first impression of Talin is to act cold and distant, Talin treats Nova and Ryla as nothing more than his charcadet's new friends. Do Talin and his other pokemon eventually befriend Ryla and Nova? Or does the Darkrai that has been stalking Talin ever since he became a trainer four-five years ago end up manipulating the duo so badly that Talin's compassionate nature won't leave a mark? Will Talin, a fourteen-fifteen year old human who got adopted by a pokemon at the age of four years old, fucking FIST FIGHT a darkrai?! Read the damn story to find the hell out!
