Emerson Grace Bush is the next up and coming prima ballerina at the Joffrey School of Ballet. She has been dancing for as long as she can remember, and up until now, her life has revolved around dance. However, when a long forgotten friend makes a reappearance in her life, will ballet take the backseat in a new set of priorities? As her eighteenth birthday approaches, her life is turned upside down, not only by the drama stirred up because of her newly remembered childhood friend, but also because of her changing family dynamics and the drama of her ballet school. It will take everything she's got for Emerson to regain control over her life in the infamous city of Chicago.
