Poverty is no joke. it's so sad that normal people have to live like this, in fear, not knowing when they'll get their next meals. Some kids even get sold because their family needs money. This is depressing, so many people live their lives like this, 46.9 percent of our population is in poverty. Sadly this is the case with Maria Gonzàlez and her family. They live in Guatemala, Maria lives with her mom and her two brothers Mateo and Carlos. They live in a small run-down town in Guatemala. There are times when they don't have enough money.

Even though we lost everything, who's to say this isn't better? ~~~~~~~ Samantha Jones and her sister have lived all their life in the city, the center of Chicago. They were very content with their life and they never thought it could be that bad. Oh, except for one thing, they weren't born in Chicago, they weren't born in the US, but they don't know that, and when one day they wake up with the police at their door demanding them to leave said country, you can bet they have more than a couple questions. They leave the US and are forced to go back to their country. A small overpopulated country in Central America by the name of El Salvador. Oh boy, life's different, but what can Samantha and Cathy do, except get used to that way of living. Cover made by @madeline243
