Elements of Eternal Life

Powers. Abilities. A worldwide drug trip. Whatever it's called, it doesn't matter. To Jessica anyway. Everyone has an ability of some kind, from tiny and pathetic things, to huge life changing powers. Very rarely, is someone born without an ability, or the very human ability to lie about one and pretend to be the world's idea of normal. The statistics of it were somewhere around one in six billion, so of course Jessica just had to be that one. Once she could no longer lie to the children in her class, or the adults in the neighborhood, or the entire city or even the world, she was almost entirely on her own.

Jessica learned a long time ago to throw most of her morals and a lot of her dignity out, you can't turn your nose up when you have nothing of your own. She never could've guessed stealing from a dying woman was going to change her life forever.
