Clay didn't believe in love, he thought it was a waste of time, he usually visits a small coffee shop where he could read and study, his friend Nick would sometimes tag along with his boyfriend. one day, clay walked In the same shop, but this time, there was a new worker that caught his eye, a boy behind the counter. ~~ George needed help. His mother died and his father left him and his little sister, abandoned, George got a job so he could pay the bills and look after his sister, he's currently living with two good friends from school. He used to work as a writer, but his boss never appreciated his work, and wouldn't pay him enough. Giving up on that dream, he found out he had special skills in making coffee, will he be able to balance school and work again? will that skill save him and his sister? All while dealing with eating disorders and recovering from self harm? Will working in a coffee shop change his life? ------- this is my first PROPER dnf story. It will probably slowly get farther away from the topic but I'll try not to let that happen. There could be spelling mistakes but I'll try to spot them. All the info you need is in the first chapter. A friendship that was once inseparable was now long gone, just memories of better times as Clay's life became hell. The days became repetitive, school, train, sleep. George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.
