They seemed to be stuck in some sort of haze, like the harshness of reality meant nothing to them there. They were just happy and content to be away from everything for a moment. If Felix really tried, he could slip into that haze too for a bit. He'd stop worrying about the move and all he'd left behind. But most of all, he didn't have to think about the life he now had to face, and the fact that he couldn't go on in denial forever."
