Life & Death (C. CULLEN) / REVISING by MrsStevieRodgers
50 parts Complete
Anastasia never thought the internship in Forks would matter. It was supposed to be temporary, just something to build her résumé before she moved on with her life. Forks felt small, quiet, and far from everything she imagined for her future. She planned to finish her time there and leave without looking back. Then she met Carlisle. At first, he was just someone she worked with - calm, kind, and unexpectedly easy to talk to. But as days turned into weeks, their connection grew into something deeper. Conversations stretched longer than they needed to. Small moments started to matter. Anastasia found herself thinking about him even when she wasn't around him, and the feeling caught her off guard. She hadn't come to Forks looking for love, and she definitely hadn't planned on finding it there. The more time she spent with Carlisle, the harder it became to hold onto the idea of leaving. The rain, the quiet, the slow pace of the town didn't bother her as much anymore. Forks stopped feeling like a place she was passing through and started to feel like somewhere she belonged. Carlisle had a way of making her feel grounded, like she didn't have to rush through her life to reach the next thing. When the internship ended, Anastasia realized the hardest part wasn't saying goodbye to the job - it was the idea of leaving him. The future she had imagined before Forks didn't feel as real as the life she was building now. What was meant to be temporary became permanent. She stayed, not because she planned to, but because she had found the love of her life - and a place that finally felt like home
