Maighs Smith has been keeping a secret since the 4th grade. A rather dark secret. She's dead... Sometimes. You see, when she's not fighting for her life, she doesn't breathe and her heart doesn't beat. But when she has to, her heart will start beating and her lungs will start working. But when her besties Clara Biner, Cally Waterson, and Merigha Anderson find out, some rather strange things start happening. First, someone tried to rob their school, then, Maighs and Clara find out they both have stalkers. Lastly, they find out they have to defend their home... By fighting villainous people and monsters. Drama is being started and secrets are being revealed. Including how Maighs became dead-ish. Do these 10th grade girls have what takes to defend themselves and their home, or will they accept defeat?
