Lottie Matthews has had a tough upbringing, mental abuse from her parents and seeing things that weren't really real. Lotties parents are busy on business trips, leaving for months at a time, refusing to take her with them (not that she wants to go). she's usually kept company by.. well.. herself. that is until Lottie's strange delusions and unusual physical behaviour had made a recurrence, seeking for help in that special someone who she has yet to find.
thats when Natalie Scatorccio, who had run away from home after a traumatic experience, crashing at her friend shauna's house, had come along. she had lived a pretty similar life to Lottie Matthews, abuse (however Natalie's was physical, verbal and mental), unpresent parents (well, thats only when she could get away) and alcohol and drug addiction.
after a falling out in 8th grade, Natalie and Lottie had agreed to never speak to each other ever again, unless it was absolutely necessary. they had managed to keep that agreement, the last time they had ever spoken to each other. however what the girls dont know, is that they will somehow make their way back to each other. eventually craving each other's love.
