Kaitlyn's life turned upside down when her long-term best friend, Sadie Gomez, suddenly committed suicide. Her worried mother decides to get Kaitlyn a therapist, who recommends her to write "fake letters" to Sadie.

To distract herself, Kaitlyn takes up a job of cleaning houses for others. She does Sadie's house for free in respect for her family, but when she cleans her passed friend's suddenly empty room, she finds her secret journal.

Curious, she reads it to find that Sadie had never intended to kill herself. She tries to show the police, but they brush it off. Though, maybe the best investigator for this case is the person who knew Sadie best-Kaitlyn Clarke herself.
