"Deviants," a unique subspecies of humans born with extraordinary abilities, are deemed as monsters-according to the laws of Achlys, that is.

 Kieryn Skado, a natural-born fighter with an unwavering spirit and a compassionate soul, has dedicated her life to combatting these formidable "Devaint" foes. Having undergone lifelong soldier training, she stands on the precipice of joining The Purgers, an elite unit within the nation of Achlys, renowned for confronting Deviants head-on, who are trained within the brutal walls of Mathesis war college. 

Vincent Slade, an ex-soldier from an mysterious place outside Achlys, finds himself facing an imminent death sentence. However, a lifeline appears in the form of an offer: to complete a specific mission by bending his morals and joining Achlys's Purger Unit, attending Mathesis war college in order to locate a special girl, in exchange for  his freedom.

 As Kieryn's path intertwines with Vince's, her world is turned upside down, with mysteries unveiling at every twist and turn, one being the unforeseen threat of sudden rouge Deviants, coinciding with Vince's arrival. 

Amongst these enigmas, Vince himself is the biggest one: Who is he? Where did he come from? What's his motif? 

Despite Kieryn's deep-rooted animosity towards Vince, could he hold the answers she seeks? 

Could he unravel the web of deception that shrouds her existence?
