The Archer | Spencer Reid

Dr. Spencer Reid was always the one running in circles, chasing after ghosts, reaching for people who never stayed. He was the genius, the profiler, the one who saw the patterns, but never the one anyone stayed for.

And then Athena Zhao came.

A prodigy in her own right, a warrior molded by China's covert Special Unit, she was never meant to be part of the BAU. But after a case that crossed international lines, Hotch saw something in her, something the team desperately needed. A skilled negotiator, a razor-sharp profiler, someone who could see into the minds of criminals and talk them down before another loss, another failure, another tragedy.

She was different.

Where others hesitated, she stepped forward. Where Reid had only ever been left behind, she stayed.
