Ailsa Kong is a female humanoid gorilla and Donkey Kong's childhood friend turned wife. She is a princess, known for her sweet, kind, and caring nature. Ailsa despises bullies and stands up against them whenever she encounters them. She is fiercely loyal to Donkey Kong and is deeply in love with him. However, Donkey has a tendency to become jealous when other males are near her or show interest in her, as she values her relationship with Donkey Kong above all else.
While Ailsa possesses admirable qualities, she also has a few fears and dislikes. She is afraid of deep water and heights, which can make her uncomfortable in certain situations. Despite these fears, she remains determined and pushes past her limits when necessary. Ailsa's love for Donkey Kong is a central aspect of her character, driving her actions and motivations throughout the story.

A short story. After an abused ape escapes from the local zoo, Mario must save his city - and the terrified Pauline - from its aggressive clutches. *** "A young 'Jumpman' saves the day?" Sixteen-year-old Mario has everything he could ask for: athletic talent, decent grades, a sense of humor - and he's not unpopular with the girls, either. But he doesn't want any old peaceful, planned future: Mario still dreams for a life of adventure! When an angry gorilla breaks out of the local zoo, he just might get his chance. The stubborn ape - called 'Donkey Kong' by frightened citizens - is terrorizing New Donk City's streets like any superhero's dream! But Mario's excitement at the rampaging escapade soon turns troublesome when Donkey Kong gives a taking eye to Mario's friend, the beautiful Pauline. What was meant to be a fun night out quickly becomes the girl's worst nightmare on the skyscrapers of New Donk City - in the clutches of a lovestruck ape!
