More than a name | Ryder Lyons story
26 partes Continúa Bella's POV
I hated the way his voice cracked on that last word.
Because it wasn't just Ryder asking me to talk-it was Ryder asking me not to shut him out. Ryder, who'd been in my life since before I knew what heartbreak even was. Ryder, who'd carried my secrets, my laughter, my tears.
And now... this.
I opened my mouth, closed it, then whispered, "Everything feels different."
His brows furrowed. "Different how?"
"You," I breathed. "Me. Us. Sunday happened and now I can't stop thinking about it, and it scares me, Ryder. Because if this changes us, I don't know if I can handle it."

Ryder's POV
The ache in her voice nearly undid me.
I stepped closer, rain starting to spit lightly from the sky, cool drops landing on my hoodie.
"You think it hasn't changed me?" I said, my voice low, rough. "Bella, I haven't thought about anything else since Sunday. Not practice. Not the game. Nothing. Just you."
Her eyes snapped to mine, wide and uncertain.
The drizzle grew heavier, pattering against the pavement, clinging to her hair.
"Ryder..." she whispered.
"I don't care if it's scary," I said, my chest heaving. "I don't care if it changes everything. Because it's always been you, Bella. Always."
And then-before she could argue, before my fear could choke me-I closed the space between us and kissed her.
