I have no idea if I can make the character gender-neutral or not so I think the reader is a woman.

The the year 2038 everything seemed to finally be looking up for the recently torn city of Detroit, not for young (name) who couldn't speak since an accident at age six left her mute. Hank had always been like a father to you, and like any other human he would easily get upset and angered, sometimes even lashing out on you.
