Tamsin Caraxis is a Wraith Walker, one of six elite assassins of Tyanth, the Witch Kingdom. For the last year, Tamsin has been hunting for the continent's next Seer-the supreme spiritual leader who communes with the Gods and bestows blessings on the land. The Kingdom that controls the Seer controls fate itself and the Witch King, Tamsin's lover, is desperate to control fate.

After a year on the hunt, a rival kingdom asks for the Wraith Walkers help in tracking down an unlikely candidate for Seer-a young girl believed to be gifted with Second Sight.

Joining the alliance with a magical race whose every moral is contrary to their own doesn't sit well with the Wraith Walkers or the Witch King, Tamsin's lover. Neither does finding out that they are not the only group of people tracking the child through dangerous territories. When the quest turns deadly, the Wraith Walkers are forced to come to terms with the longevity of their actions, and decide what to do with the child Seer once captured. 

But the Seer is not what they imagined and the women are faced with an impossible choice: imprison a child to save their crumbling Kingdom or leave the young girl to her own fate at the hands of the other dangerous territories. The decision launches Tamsin into a war of political intrigue far more dangerous than tracking any suspected Seer. A war that, if successful, will alter the course of their lives and the hierarchy of the continent territories forever...

Are you tired of reading fantasy novels in which the very boring, very young human girl catches the eye of an irresistible five-hundred year old fae male?
