The mission was to extract information from an agent in jungle. Drop in grab the info from the location and quickly and quietly move through the jungle to exfil. Easy in out intel mission. But... She was so quiet I didn't even hear her, next thing I know I have a gun to my temple and a set of eyes fixed on me. She took the information package and was gone in seconds. But those eyes, she saw right through me just as I did her. Those few moments felt like hours. I can't get those eyes out of my mind. Three hours later she's waiting for me at the exfil site. I can't let her get to me, crawl under my skin. But I have to know more about her. Soap says she goes by Reaper and she's assisting the 141 in taking down a terrorist organisation. It's a big mission plenty of time for me to find out what I need to know, what's behind those eyes... before Soap gives her all my secrets. WARNING. This is a violent fanfic. Some of the things mentioned may be upsetting so please check before proceeding. Themes included are strong language, torture, rape, murder, killing, wounded victims, abuse, disassociation, drug use, paralysis, child abuse, panic attacks, suicide, weapon use. In the Midst of It All
A slowburn-ish soapxreader story i made for fun (first time yay) COMPLETED+MINORS DNI all cover credits to 661ave on tik tok!! they make the best COD renderings. Reader is a solider working for the Shadow Company at Graves orders. The mission was to find, maybe fuck, and kill Soap, Ghosts only friend; without Soap Ghost would be a shell of a man and unable to use his strengths again the Shadow Companys bigger plan. But along the way things get a little south as you are instead taken as a hostage to the 141 at their base. Learning you were betrayed by Phillip Graves you join the 141 to help them out to get closer to Graves to kill him and escape the military all together with Benning, who may or may not be alive. It's not very lore accurate and loosely takes place during MW2. The most iinspo i got plot wise is the cold war campaign so if ykkk ;) At the beginning there was more POV variation; by the end i stuck with 2nd pov. mc is a little of self insert and annoying, dont worry. "Isabella." I widen my eyes in shock at my name. "Simon." "Don't call me that." Ghost says, short and curt. His hand stiffens on the fork he's holding. "Don't call me that." I reply. Ghost puts the fork down rather roughly, then starts scrubbing a plate with force as if he's channeling his anger into the helpless dish. "Irritating." He says through clenched teeth, the word almost spat. I can hear his breathing through the mask now, and his voice is low. Gravelly. "Impossible." I reply, taking the plate from his hands to dry. He turns to me quickly, a little soap sloshing to the floor. I look up at him, fast. There's nothing else on the entire base other than me and him. Everything else is just background noise. "Give up, Red." "Never." He backs me into the counter, pinning me, the distance between us closing rapidly. When he's this close, less than a foot away, I really wonder just how tall he actually is. Much taller than me. The counter bites my back as his words press closer than his body. I feel a shiver ripple through me from the warmth falling in waves off his chest. Price appears in the doorway, a dark look on his face, his posture curved into a hard line. We both look over at him quickly. "New information just came in. You were never really cut out for fighting. In efforts to appease your remaining family -Right after graduating a private school.
