In the year 96 AG, a freshly burned and banished 13-year-old Prince Zuko discovers a strange boy frozen in an iceberg.

When Zhao interferes with Zuko's plans to deliver the Avatar to his father, Aang helps Zuko and Iroh escape. They take refuge in the abandoned Air Temples, Aang searching for any remnants of his people that he can find. Along the way, he teaches an indoctrinated Zuko about the true nature of the Air Nomads. Zuko must come to terms with the fact that everything he has been taught was a lie, while Iroh must acknowledge and face the sins of his past. Eventually, Aang and Zuko become close friends, and Zuko begins to feel things he has never felt for anyone before. However, Zhao will not give up easily, and will do whatever it takes to capture the Avatar and his traitor accomplices.

This AU will explore the friendship and eventual romance that could have happened between Aang and Zuko if the circumstances of their meeting had been different. Eventually will end up following most of the canon events of the original show, just over the span of 3-4 years. Originally posted on AO3.

Two Warriors |Sukka Love Story Book 1 by barricadebabe24601
47 parts Complete Mature
Once Upon a Time there were Two Warriors...one, a boy from the snowy Southern Water Tribe...the other from the sunny Kyoshi Island. These Warriors trained together when they met...became friends...and fell in love. Here is the tale of two warriors, Sokka and Suki, who fight against all odds and come together during a war that has lasted one hundred years. Join them as we see missing moments from the Avatar canon, explore their development from friends to lovers, and watch them go through battles that even war didn't prepare them for. -For reference, this tale takes place during and little after the canon. There are three books to this trilogy. This book will explore Sokka and Suki in their late teens and very early twenties and how distance is nothing if you were meant for each other. Other goodies in this fanfic a reader may enjoy: Suki's backstory, which is explored more and more in each book, Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors, missing Sukka moments, Sukka saying I love you for the first time, deep-Sukka talks, Kyoshi Warriors, Suki's experience in prison and how it affects her and Sokka's relationship, later on, Sukka smut, Kataang, Maiko, LGBTQ WLW Kyoshi Warrior relationships (which is more prominent in the second and third book), and more (maybe even a surprise here and there!)
