Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea

As I stepped inside the room, I couldn't help but glance at the familiar figure which stood out from any other. I saw her hazel eyes darting between the pages of a book she was holding onto.

Just for a moment, I could see those eyes shine with a glint. Startling me, she stared straight into my eyes. The more I stared into those eyes, the more I grew with tension.

I was looking at the book lifelessly, tears fell and dried , but nothing changed I felt alone but this is what I wanted in the first place. Hopelessness was surrounding me just like sea surrounds a rock, i looked up hopless just to find him looking at me, we kept looking at each other

He kept looking at me, maybe with sympathy, because I thought I am such a creature which can only be sympathysised . We kept looking at each other , the a deafening silence surrounding us . We were manacled in our positions with an invisible force
