Napa-ngiti ako habang tinitignan ang pamilya sa harapan ako. Sana ganon din ako noong bata.
Bigla-bigla, nakarinig ako ng sunod-sunod na pagputok ng baril. Nagulat ang bata at umiyak. Tumingin ako sa labas, walang ni-isang tao ang  makikita. Madilim ang lahat.

"Shhh princess, listen to Papa," sabi nung lalaki, halatang pinapakalma niya ang bata. Hinawakan niya ang magkabilang pisngi nito.

Tumigil ang sasakyan. Madaming putukan ang naririnig ko. Bakas sa mukha ng bata ang sobrang takot. Lumapit ang babae sa bata at hinawakan ang maghabilang pisngi nito habang umiiyak.

"Baby, listen to Mama, okay? We'll play hide and
seek. Don't let me find you until I yell out your name, okay?" nanginginig ang boses ng babae habang kinakausap niya ang kanyang anak. Niyakap niya ito at hinalikan sa noo.

"I love you. I'm sorry. I love you," pumiyok ang boses ng babae.
