Luci's brother died recently from a drive by. Shortly after she realizes her brother owes money to a gang lord that controls her part of LA.
When looking into a car that her brother fixed up, she finds a garage that takes her to the future, 2023. While hanging out with her brother's friends she figures out how she can get the money to pay of his debt, along with a plan on how to take down the gang lord that has taken over her city. Female reader as always! Doing this because I've always loved McQueen as a CHARACTER. NOT AS A CAR. Thats why I'm making him HUMAN. McQueen is a racer new to the racing scene, but his irresponsibility, cockiness, and huge ego makes it seem like he doesn't deserve the pleasure. (Y/N) has always wanted to be a racer but isn't allowed to be, and she truly deserves the honor. (Y/N) really doesn't like McQueen, but in the end he just might be the ticket to finally becoming a racer like she's always dreamed of. And who knows, maybe McQueen really isn't that bad. Cover was AI generated because I haven't been doing too well with nailing a design of my own that captures how I envision him, and this was pretty close to what I see in my head I think.

Her prayers come true; she's adopted by McQueen. But Mrs Nelson threatened that if Chloe ever came back, she would suffer the consequences. Will Chloe love her new life? Or will she be brought back and spend the rest of her life suffering and rotting in an orphanage?
