On a secluded island isolated from the rest of the world, humanity is tormented by monsters known as Yoma, humanoid shapeshifters that feast on human flesh. Humanity's only hope for salvation from these monsters are the Silver Eyed Witches or Claymores, female warriors that are Human-Yoma hybrids. These women harness the very power of the monsters they are sworn to slay, resulting in the common folk viewing them as monsters in their own right. However far across the ocean on the mainland, a different plague afflicts a once great city. Yharnam, a sprawling metropolis of gothic architecture, its people are clenched by a horrific plague. The Beast Scourge, a blood based disease that transform humans into horrific beasts that crave the flesh of humans. In this never ending nightmare, there is a lone hunter, dedicated to slaying these beasts that plague the streets of Yharnam. However there are powers at play that mortals could not begin to hope to comprehend. What happens when the strange island and Yharnam are mysteriously linked? What happens when the Hunter meets the Silver Eyed Witches?
