She spends her days avoiding her life at court, but she is soon rudely awakened to the harsh reality of her position. This story is not entirely book or show accurate, I am taking some creative liberties. For example, in this story, Rhaenyra never moved to Dragonstone with her family and remained in the Red Keep. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 must find her way in between the intrigues, schemes and plots of the greens while being married to a man that many despise because of his reputation, while she rather fears him because of it. Yet, things are not as they seem to be at first sight, and one must not forget that they are all children - innocent children.

There, they would choose which one will inherit the Iron Throne: the Princess Rhaenys, daughter of Prince Aemon and Lady Jocelyn Baratheon, or Prince Viserys, son of Prince Baelon and his sister-wife, Princess Alyssa. Through a vote the realm decided Viserys would be named Prince of Dragonstone. No woman would sit on the Iron Throne. Yet, the now King Viserys I Targaryen appointed his daughter, Rhaenyra Targaryen as his heir. The Seven Kingdoms had already rejected a woman, they would do it again. When the King remarried, his wife gave him a son, his council advised him to name him heir but he never did. The King didn't know then he would lead his realm to a war remembered as the Dance of Dragons.
