This is a Ranger's Apprentice fanfiction. It translates my life as it is into what my life would be if I lived then.
Daphne wants to be a Ranger, with all her heart. Her mother, Madam Melissa works with the massive battlehorses; and her father is Sir Mathew, or Matt to his friends and family, who is a knight. She lives in Redmont and her mother wants her to become a Courier, under the tutalage of Lady Pauline. But when retired Ranger Halt notices her sneaking around, he decides to take on one more challenge before he's gone... training Daphne.

He lives the low life in Gallica, making coin by performing tasks for others. When a messenger from Morgarath finds him in his home, Halt does not hesitate to take up the biggest offer he has ever received. Traveling to Araluen with the thoughts of riches, he finds himself struggling with his identity and who he is really meant to be. A farmer, knight, ranger, and assassin.
