Gavin Free has been roped into a deal to work for The Mad King that he is not particularly happy with. His latest mission for the evil dictator is to be the king's inside man in a group called The Achievement Hunters. The Hunters are a small organisation of rogue superheroes who refuse to work for or bow down to The Mad King and still believe they can overthrow him somehow. Gavin must gain the trust of the Achievement Hunters in order to receive any valuable information he can report back to The Mad King. But when he gets to know Geoff, Michael, Ray and the rest of the the Hunters, Gavin can't help but be painfully aware that he is on the wrong side. Will Gavin have the balls to turn away from The Mad King? And will his connection with Ray in particular hinder him from keeping his goal of freedom at the forefront of his mind?
